# How to delete a Domain in InboxKit?

How to delete a Domain in InboxKit?

Deleting a domain in InboxKit permanently removes the domain and **all associated mailboxes, DNS records, and settings**.
This action is irreversible, so it should only be done if you’re sure the domain is no longer needed for sending, receiving, or sequencing.

Below is a step-by-step guide to safely delete a domain from your workspace.

## 🗑 **How to Delete a Domain in InboxKit**

## ✅ **Step 1: Go to Domains → Click “More” on the Domain**

1. Open **Domains** from the left sidebar

2. Find the domain you want to remove

3. Click the **More** (⚙) button on the right side of the domain row

This opens the domain management panel.

## ⚙ **Step 2: Open the “Domain Settings” Tab**

At the top of the domain modal, click:

➡ **Domain Settings**

This will display forwarding settings, catch-all email, DMARC email, and the **Danger Zone** section.

## 🔻 **Step 3: Scroll Down to the Danger Zone**

At the bottom of the Domain Settings tab, you will see:

### **Danger Zone**

> Permanently delete this domain and all associated data.
> This action cannot be undone.

This is where InboxKit allows you to remove the domain entirely.

## 🗑 **Step 4: Click “Delete Domain”**

1. Click **Delete Domain** (red button)

2. Confirm the deletion in the popup confirmation dialog

3. The domain will be permanently removed from your workspace

## ⚠ **Important Notes Before Deleting**

Please read these carefully:

### **1\. All Mailboxes Will Be Cancelled**

Any mailbox created under this domain will be:

- Immediately **cancelled**

- Removed from sequencers

- No longer accessible

### **2\. DNS Records Will Be Removed**

SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and MX records managed by InboxKit will be deleted.

### **3\. The Action Cannot Be Undone**

Once deleted, the domain cannot be restored.
You can re-add it later, but:

- It will require re-verification

- New DNS nameservers will be generated

- Mailboxes will need to be recreated

### **4\. If the Domain Is Connected (Not Purchased)**

Deleting a connected domain **does not delete the domain from your registrar**.
It only removes it from InboxKit.

## 🎉 **Domain Successfully Deleted**

Once deleted:

- The domain will disappear from your domain list

- Mailboxes associated with the domain will be cancelled

- This domain can never be used on InboxKit again
