Subscription vs Credits - Everything You need to know

InboxKit offers two flexible billing models — **Subscriptions** and **Credits** — giving you complete control over how you scale your mailboxes, domains, and add-on services. Here’s a clear breakdown to help you choose the best method for your workflow.

## **What Are Subscriptions?**

A **Subscription** gives you a fixed number of mailbox slots that renew automatically every billing cycle (Monthly / Quarterly / Annually).

### **Where Subscriptions Are Used**

-   Purchasing mailbox slots (Google Workspace / Microsoft 365)
    
-   Ensuring automated, uninterrupted billing
    
-   Receiving invoices on every renewal
    

### **Subscription Plans**

## **What Are Credits?**

**Credits** act as a prepaid balance in your InboxKit Wallet.  
**1 Credit = 1 USD**

Credits are **manually added** or **auto-charged** (if Auto-Top-Up is enabled).

### **Where Credits Are Used**

Credits are used for:

-   Additional mailboxes beyond your subscription
    
-   Purchasing domains
    
-   Pre-warmed domain + mailbox bundles
    
-   Add-ons:
    
    -   Inbox Placement Tests
        
    -   Email Validation
        
    -   Future add-on services
        
-   _You can also buy 100% of your mailboxes using credits only_
    

### **Credits & Renewals**

If your mailboxes were purchased using credits:

-   You must load credits manually **before renewal**, **or**
    
-   Enable **Auto-Top-Up** → InboxKit will auto-charge your card when your wallet is low
