
Deleting a domain in InboxKit permanently removes the domain and all associated mailboxes, DNS records, and settings.
This action is irreversible, so it should only be done if you’re sure the domain is no longer needed for sending, receiving, or sequencing.
Below is a step-by-step guide to safely delete a domain from your workspace.
How to Delete a Domain in InboxKit
Step 1: Go to Domains → Click “More” on the DomainOpen Domains from the left sidebar
Find the domain you want to remove
Click the More (
) button on the right side of the domain row
This opens the domain management panel.
Step 2: Open the “Domain Settings” TabAt the top of the domain modal, click:
Domain Settings
This will display forwarding settings, catch-all email, DMARC email, and the Danger Zone section.
Step 3: Scroll Down to the Danger ZoneAt the bottom of the Domain Settings tab, you will see:
Permanently delete this domain and all associated data.
This action cannot be undone.
This is where InboxKit allows you to remove the domain entirely.
Step 4: Click “Delete Domain”Click Delete Domain (red button)
Confirm the deletion in the popup confirmation dialog
The domain will be permanently removed from your workspace
Important Notes Before DeletingPlease read these carefully:
Any mailbox created under this domain will be:
Immediately cancelled
Removed from sequencers
No longer accessible
SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and MX records managed by InboxKit will be deleted.
Once deleted, the domain cannot be restored.
You can re-add it later, but:
It will require re-verification
New DNS nameservers will be generated
Mailboxes will need to be recreated
Deleting a connected domain does not delete the domain from your registrar.
It only removes it from InboxKit.
Domain Successfully DeletedOnce deleted:
The domain will disappear from your domain list
Mailboxes associated with the domain will be cancelled
This domain can never be used on InboxKit again
